Sr. Informatica Developer

Key responsibilities:

• Experience working with large data, Data Ingestion, Data Import Processes, and Streaming Data.
• Developing and maintaining data warehouse ETL processes to solve complex data problems, including performance, scalability, security, and integration issues
• Experience in working with various source systems like Flat files, XML/JSON, Databases
• Ability to tune and redesign the existing ETL mappings
• Strong understanding of Data warehousing concepts and designs like star and snowflake schema
• Experience in building ETL source-to-target mappings using transformations like Source Qualifier, Lookup, joiners, update strategy and creating unit test case documents
• Enforcing data management best practices, standards, policies, and rules across different functional areas
• Developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business requirements to support various applications
• Participating in data warehouse implementation, including data model design, ETL process coding, and data archiving and recovery
• Based on project requirements, collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to develop, and deliver solutions.
• Guide teams to write better code. Review code and help in pushing the team in an optimized way of development.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment.

Required Skills:   

• Hands-on experience with database technologies (SQL, PLSQL/T-SQL)
• Hands-on experience with reporting tools like Tableau will be an add-on
• Hands-on experience as an ETL Developer well versed in ETL tool usage (Informatica) and its architecture, design, and development
• Good working exposure on Unix/DOS scripting, Performance tuning, AutoSys, or any other orchestration tools 
• Designing and implementing the data warehouse, operational data layers, and ETL/ELT processes
• Extensive hands-on experience in working on large-scale MPP enterprise data warehousing (EDW) projects.
• Understanding of Data Modelling and Database design is beneficial
• Hands-on scripting ability using Python etc. will be helpful.
